Towed in a Hole

Review by Jaimie Hall Bruzenak

Towed in a HoleTowed in a Hole: A Raymond Cid RV Mystery by Lawrence Chance. What a fun read! Raymond Cid is an investigator based in Las Vegas who travels in a luxury RV “salvaging” things for clients who have unsuccessfully tried all other avenues. If you enjoy mysteries, you’ll enjoy this one.

Elli Simms brother, Mike, has disappeared. She comes to Ray for help. Mike is a Montana attorney, specializing in setting up L.L.C. registrations to register RVs. Unraveling the clues leads Ray to Mishawaka, neighbor to Elkhart, Indiana while Oscar, his British ex-financier sidekick handles the western end. Cid teams up with Deputy Lara Lowe, who moonlights at the RV park. Cid isn’t altruistic. If he can prove Mike Simms was murdered, he receives 50% of the insurance policy—his standard fee.

This is the first of at least six books featuring Raymond Cid so further adventures will be forthcoming. I’m looking forward to Slideout, the next one in the series, which should be out soon. Available from Amazon in book or Kindle version.
